(FOX NEWS) — Recently crowned Miss Teen USA Cassidy Wolf says a hacker used her webcam to take illicit photos of the beauty queen. According to the FBI investigation, Wolf received anonymous emails from someone claiming to be in possession of nude photos of her taken via the webcam on her computer.
What happened to Wolf is actually the latest in a string of so-called “sex-tortion” cases involving individuals who have used email accounts, social media or a computer’s own hardware to gain compromising information or images of its user.
“You have to be so extremely careful with what you do online nowadays because you never know what people can be doing to you online. Social media is a huge thing nowadays so it’s very important to be safe.” said Cassidy Wolf.
In December, this perp from Florida, Christopher Chaney, was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to hacking into email accounts and obtaining naked images of celebrities including Mila Kunis, Christina Aguilera and Scarlett Johansson.
